One more...
Ok So I couldn't leave out one of my favorite pictures! This was taken on our one year anniversary. I know.. One year? Really? Time flies when you're havin' fun! Joel and I like to pull some pretty goofy faces. Here is just one of the many. Enjoy :)
Yup.. Still learning how to use blogger..
Ok so I couldn't figure out how to put captions under each picture so I'll just tell you here :) The first two were in Logan (our future home) with Joel's fam. We went bowling and every time you rolled a gutter ball, you had to roll up part of your pant leg. It was a blast! All of us had pants rolled up to our knees by the time we finished!
The next two photos were taken on a Sunday when the leaves were changing. Joel and I decided it was "now or never" to take a drive up into the beautiful Utah mtns before the leaves had completely fallen off.
The last picture is my Kindergarten class I just finished working in. Wow it was an awesome experience! I have realized that I just don't know if I am cut out for Kindergarten as of yet.. Maybe a few years down the road. I made so many awesome little friends. I can't wait to be a real teacher and have my own class! One year left baby!!!

I need sleep..
Hey all! So I just got off work and I have to wind down a bit before I can go to bed. You would think at nearly 1:00AM my body would just crash. Nope. Wide awake. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I am very excited for Christmas. It is my second Christmas with my sweetheart :) I just discovered my deep love for Christmas music. I dunno, it may be because my mom is a nut about Christmas music and starts listening in SEPTEMBER (no joke). Anyway, I thought I'd share my favorite Christmas song that I just decided is my fav for the week:
Go here to watch
P.s. Just ignore Oprah, especially at the end... (no seriously, she pretty much ruins the whole song). Love you all and enjoy getting ready to celebrate Christ's birth!!!

Can I just say...
I have just discovered that I LOOVE autumn! I love to see the leaves changing in the mountains. It reminds me of sherbet ice cream. The mountains look like they have a rash! It's just so fun. I love the crunch under my feet of the leaves that have fallen from the trees. I love to see carved pumpkins lit up at night. I love jacket weather. I love haunted houses and corn mazes. And last of all, I love the smell of the heater being used for the first time of the season. I hope you're enjoying fall as much as I am!!!

A side note...
Wow, it has been a while since I last posted. School has not only started but it's almost midterm! Woo hoo! When did that happen? Oh yeah, all the sudden projects and due dates start piling high! So.. Joel Potter and I have been married for over a year now. I am madly in love with this guy! As I have been evaluating myself as a wife. I have come across a few things that I have learned. My list is small as I am newly married and you can feel free to add to the list if you would like!
- Never leave the wash in the dryer or washer over night
- Stay on top of the dishes!
- Never go to bed angry... always talk things out and kiss each other goodnight
- Communicate
- Be supportive (in school, work and callings)
- Budget, budget, BUDGET! Know where every dollar is being spent
- Prioritize, even if cleaning has to be put on the back burner
- Share the responsibility of the housework
- Laugh. Everyday.
- NEVER criticize
- Read and pray together everyday

Is summer really over?!
Dear friends,School has officially started. Because I
LOVE what I am studying, it's not that big of a deal. I get to be an Elementary Education graduate! A teacher is one of the most important and powerful influences in a young child's life. This semester, however, will be my very hardest. I am taking 18 credit hours (7 classes), working 3 days a week (24 hours), I am the Second Counselor in Young Women's, ALONG WITH cooking, cleaning and helping Joel stay sane with his CRAZY schedule! This semester I am taking my final math class EVER! For those of you who know me, you know that I am not a math person. Never have been. Luckily, I have a smart hub who can help me. We'll see if I survive the hardest semester of my life. The good thing: The Lord is on my side helping me every step of the way. I think that even somedays he may be carrying me. So here I go! I am ready/excited/nervous/pumped and already exhausted thinking about the new semester. Iknow that I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing. Here are a few pics for your enjoyment:

Although overwhelmed, I had an awesome summer full of relaxation, road trips, sleep, and
vacations to prepare my mind for the mental exhaustion that it's about to face. That having been
said, I will be posting pictures soon of all my many 2010 summer adventures! I finally got an
adapter for my SD card woot! So long suckas!

I thought I'd share this with you...
The movie "Philadelphia" is so inspiring. Tom Hanks does an incredible job in this movie...needless to say he is my favorite actor. If you're looking for a tear jerker, this is the movie to watch. Anyway, this song is on the movie and when I heard it I immediately fell in love. I hope you enjoy it!!!

Ahhh summer at last!
Hello! Wow, I have not posted for a while...partly because I don't like talking to myself and also because I know that my hubby is the only one who reads my blog (I love you Joel!). Anyway, yes it is summer! I am so excited! I am not, however, excited about the heat. Our apt. has a tiny little ac window unit in the back bedroom which means: we sleep like babies but sweat anywhere else in our apt. But I guess that's life right? I am soo excited to actually get out and do things. I looove being married to my best friend and can't wait to share our first summer together. Here is a list of some of the things we hope to accomplish this summer:
- Go camping
- Go hiking...lots!
- Go to CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!
- Go swimming/hot tubbing
- Lots of BBQ's (one down, 50 to go!)
- Save a million dollars so we don't have to work too much during school in the fall (wishful thinking? I think not!)
- Go roller blading
- Go to a movie drive-in
- Stock up on camping gear
- Celebrate our one year anniversary!!!
- Go to a Petey B. Concert
That is just a small but AWESOME list so far. I may be adding to it because I can't seem to remember what some of the other things that we want to do. So far summer has been great with my Joel. We have attended a Peter Brienholt Concert (our second since we've been married) and it was so great. I will post pictures soon. I always wondered what it would be like when I was married and if my husband would like the ol' Pete...and YES he does! I married the right guy!
Updates: I officially have my passport so that we can venture into a new land called CANADA! I am working more hours... but I am still able to sleep in...SWEET! We are both registered for fall. I got a 3.9 this past semester!!! This is the highest GPA I have ever received. My car is almost paid off. I am going to St. George with my family in a few weeks (girls only...sorry Joel, frozen pizza and hot pockets will have to do for a while).
On a much more serious/spiritual note..about a month ago, Joel got a new calling. He was recently called as the Elder's Quorum President. Woah! What a huge responsibility. It is so amazing to watch as Joel as already grown in such a short amount of time. As he attends his various meetings and takes the initiative to help others out, he is really fulfilling his calling to the best of his ability. I am so happy for him and excited to watch him grow over the next few years. To make things better, our ward just split so now he gets to completely start over and make about a million changes with hometeaching and calling new counselors etc. I have faith in him and know that he can do whatever he sets his mind to. If we trust in the Lord, He can make us stronger than we ever thought possible.

Daddy in Training
Isn't this adorable? Joel's mommy made these aprons for my nieces. She is one talented woman!!! Oh and Joel ga
So the update for the week: School. is. almost. over. Wahoo! This will probably be the busiest week of my life! So many projects due and then next week I start my field work. I am assigned with a partner to go to Herrimann Elementary in Riverton. We will be teaching a fourth grade class. I am excited to start but scared outta my mind!! Joel and I both got 90% on our tough tests this week. Saweet! All our study and hard work is paying off! There is nothing like a high test score.
I am so excited that Spring is on it's way! Have a good week ya'll!!!

February 17, 2010
Yes, I have officially started blogging.... I have 3 other weekly blogs that I have to do for class and decided it would be fun to start my own personal blog and include stuff that I WANT to talk about :D. Whether I have followers or not, I think this will be a good way to document important events in my life because let's face it, I DON'T JOURNAL. As much as I have the desire to, I just don't make time for it anymore. The sad thing is, I kept a pretty awesome journal on my mission. I have no idea how to post pictures or make the background pretty so this is a work-in-progress. Hopefully people can leave friendly comments guiding me through this.
Anyway, this is what has been going on in my life:
I am HAPPILY married to the best man in the world. Joel Potter. We met at a singles ward and with the help of my BFF, Joel and I started dating. We dated for about a year by the time we were married. Joel was so easy to fall in love with. He was the ward chorister and when I walked into the ward, I leaned over to my BFF (Amber Louise Leary Gusa the third) and said "whoa, who's he?!?!?!" BOOM! Now we've been married for 6 whole months! I cannot believe how fast time is flying! Joel and I are both going to school and working. Joel is going to school to be an engineer (good luck with all that math!) and I am going to school to be an elementary school teacher. I am attending Utah Valley University and I'm in the first semester of the program. It's a lot of work but is soooo much fun. We just found out that Joel has a lot longer in school than we anticipated. But it's totally worth it! Education is sooo important these days.
Ok, so I hope I didn't bore the heck outta ya. But I plan on posting pictures pretty soon...when I learn how. Peace out!
